Tyler Nguyen is a cinematographer/colorist and a Vietnamese student pursuing a Cinema Degree at Denison University. His passion for cinematography has taken him halfway across the world to chase his dream. Tyler is known for his intimate and vibrant visuals, accentuating the connection between the viewers and the image. His cinematography and color-grading tow the line between highly-stylized aesthetics and naturalism, they bring out the words in the script and transform them into emotions. He greatly values the partnership he has with fellow creatives and aims to be the bridge between an idea from a talented filmmaker and a feeling in the audience.

 

From his skills and the collaboration with other talents, Tyler has gained recognition in international film festivals, such as winning the $1000 New Waves Grand Award of the New York Indie Shorts Award and Best Film at the Virginia Emerging Filmmakers Festival and selected for 7 other festivals.
