Tyler Nguyen is a cinematographer/colorist and a Vietnamese student pursuing a Cinema degree at Denison University. His passion for cinematography has taken him halfway across the world to pursue his goals. Tyler is known for his intimate and vibrant visuals, accentuating the connection between the viewers and the image. His cinematography and color-grading toe the line between highly stylized aesthetics and naturalism. He greatly values the partnership he has with fellow creatives and aims to be the bridge between an idea from a talented filmmaker and a feeling in the audience.

 

From his skills and the collaboration with other talents, Tyler has gained recognition in international film festivals, such as winning the $1000 New Waves Grand Award of the New York Indie Shorts Award and Best Film at the Virginia Emerging Filmmakers Festival, and being selected for 7 other festivals.
